The Lindow Ensemble consists of 12 string players, directed from the violin by Steven Wilkie, a leading professional player and senior tutor in violin at the Royal Northern College of Music. The musicians are full-time professionals, students or recent alumni of the RNCM and amateur players of a high standard. Christopher Newton is a current master’s student at the RNCM.

Community work is an increasing focus of the ensemble’s activities, and this season in partnership with Bolton Music Service it will deliver an educational programme for primary schools both there and in Tameside.
